Accessibility statement

Last reviewed 13 October 2026

This site is built to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

What that means here

  • Every page can be operated with a keyboard alone, and the focus indicator is always visible.
  • There is a skip link to the main content on every page.
  • Headings run in order, and every image carries alt text that describes it or is marked decorative.
  • Text meets the contrast requirements against the background it sits on.
  • Nothing moves, scrolls or autoplays without a way to stop it, and all motion is switched off for anyone whose device asks for reduced motion.
  • Background video is muted, carries no essential audio, and has a visible pause control.
  • Where possible, films we embed are given captions that have been written and checked.

What we know is not right yet

We know of some areas where accessibility is not yet as good as it should be.

  • Captions. Some embedded films on our project pages do not have written captions as captions were not part of the production brief.
  • Third-party and embedded content. Some third-party components and embedded content, including the Vimeo video players, may not fully meet accessibility standards. Their controls are the provider’s, so how they work with a keyboard or screen reader is partly outside our control. If one gets in your way, tell us.

We are working to put these right, and we will update this list, with dates, as each item is fixed.

Telling us about a problem

If something on this site is hard or impossible to use, write tohello@doghousemedia.ie and tell us what happened and what you were trying to do. We will reply within five working days and tell you what we are doing about it.
