About the project

A beautifully designed website is essential for every creative. Finding a balance between a website that generates leads and one which showcases the artist’s work can be an additional challenge.

With Nick’s website the goal was to get it to stand out in a market saturated by over-used, bland photography templates which make every other photography site look like the next one. Standing out was essential.

The key to the redesign was the Nick O’Keeffe brand itself. We worked with design partner Kay at Patterns on a new logo, typography, palette and branding rules for the business marketing pack and the website itself.

We set to work on the website design, website copy and tone. Design and copy were agreed, the final stage was to develop the bespoke design itself.

Requirements

A bespoke CMS client interface. We used WordPress.

  • CRM integration and Lead Capture
  • Article section
  • Editable pricing page
  • Media galleries, video

Taking it further

The legacy website had little showing on Google rankings. We devised a content plan a technical strategy to get the new website rankings moving in the right direction.

We identified and executed easier ranking wins but devised a a longer term approach which involved incorporating the Photographer’s portfolio as part of a content strategy focused on the shoot venues themselves.

  • Content Planning (keyword research, competitor research, content strategy)
  • On site SEO Audit and maintenance
  • Google My Business overhaul and maintenance
  • Link building strategy
  • Social media posting calendar
